Manuscript Evaluation and Critique – As a writer, you need to determine if your book is good enough to appeal to a major commercial publisher. I will read your novel or nonfiction book, evaluate its market potential, and give you an assessment of its strengths and weaknesses. This is a place to start with your work.
The critique will show you how to turn your manuscript into a book with commercial value. You will receive clear feedback, including practical, detailed advice about ways to improve the manuscript. Evaluation and critique fee - $500
Editing – I will correct the mechanical errors in your manuscript including spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence and paragraph structure, and whatever else is needed to polish and improve the manuscript and produce for you a new manuscript in electronic form ready for submission to literary agents and potential publishers. Fee depends on the amount of work done, and length of manuscript. We will agree on the fee before work begins.
Proposal – You need an effective book proposal to get your foot in the door of publishers. I will prepare one for you, and help you develop a list of names and addresses of literary agents suitable for your book. The proposal often makes the difference between sale and rejection. Whether a proposal is accepted not only depends on the book, but the needs of literary agents at the time. The fee depends on the proposal construction and determining the best literary agents and possible publishers for your book. We will agree on a fee before work begins. No surprises.
Rewrite – You may have written a rough draft of your book, but you know it needs a lot of work. I will develop a rewrite plan and go over it with you, making sure we are in agreement with the scope of the work that needs to be done. Then the overhaul of your manuscript begins. A book proposal will be done and a list of literary agents appropriate for your book will be supplied. The fee depends on the amount of work that has to be done, and the length of the manuscript. We will agree on the fee before work begins. No surprises for you or me.
Ghostwriting – I will ghostwrite your book based on your story idea or outline. The goal is to produce a marketable book and remain true to your vision of the story. A book proposal will be produced and a list of literary agents who will be right for your book will be supplied. Fee depends on length of manuscript, research, and writing that has to be done. No surprises. We will agree on a fee before work begins.
